International Process on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation
On 7 November 2007 in New York, the government of Switzerland launched the International Process on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation, in cooperation with the governments of Costa Rica, Japan, Slovakia and Turkey and with the support of the Center on Global Counterterrorism Cooperation. The focus of the International Process is to assess the overall contributions of the United Nations to the fight against terrorism and on identifying ways to make its institutions more relevant to national counterterrorism strategies and better able to support implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

It includes a series of workshops taking place between late January and mid-July 2008 that will culminate ahead of the General Assembly’s first formal review of Strategy implementation efforts scheduled for September 2008.
